__________________________________________________________

VISIT WITH THE MAYOR, ONE ON ONE, MONDAY, JULY 7TH, 2014, FROM  6:30 TO 8:30 P.M.  156 ROCKAFELLOW STREET.

THE MAYORS CORNER

Thank you! Kenny Robison, Superintendent of Public Works, and former Trustee, Gene Floyd, for patching our numerous pot holes.  Our Citizens really appreciate your very fine work.

Twin Enviro has a complete liquids recycling program. Call 719-372-6671 to get detailed information.

The Town of Rockvale had to discontinue having our employees help folks who are disabled or elderly who cannot cut their weeds.  We do have several people listed on the bulletin board at Town Hall who can be hired to do this work.

We would also like, to have available, the name and phone number of anyone who is willing to volunteer to help our citizens who are unable to do their own weed clean-up.

Mike Patterson, Assistant Fire Chief, has advised that the Annual Fire Department Dance will be on July 26th.

The Community Picnic we were trying to put together has been canceled due to lack of interest.

There is a vacancy on the Board of Trustees due to the resignation of Gene Floyd.  The Board of Trustees will appoint someone to fill this position.  Applications can be obtained at Town Hall and must be returned by July 8th.  The individual appointed will have to run for election in November 2014.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Radiation Program invites stockholders to comment on proposed revisions to the Colorado Radiation Control Act (title 25 article 11), and part 18 of the Radiation Regulations, at a public meeting on Thursday, July 17th, 2014, 6pm-8pm at the Best Western, 110 Latigo Lane, Canon City, CO.

Mike Patterson, Assistant Fire Chief, advised the “warning Siren” has been temporally turned off.  It will be repaired and put back into operation.

Reminder:  A complete set of Rockvale Regulations, Ordinances, Emergency Plan, and Five Year Plan are available for purchase for $10 at Town Hall.
